You use it, you abuse it, and then you ask your dump truck to do it all over again day-in and day-out. Your dump truck’s body is built to handle the tough demands you expose it to. However, just like any other piece of equipment, it too will eventually wear out. There are many different ways the body can wear out. Some of which can result in the material that is being transported to end up on the roadways, possibly setting up the conditions for an accident to occur. That is a scenario you never want to happen. So when the body gets past the point of patching, it’s time to contact V&H Trucks to obtain a new one.
Your current dump truck did its job to the best of its ability. This doesn’t mean that it was the best fit for your needs though. When the time comes to replace a body on a dump truck, you should ask yourself what could have been better about the body. Was the material that the body was composed of strong enough to handle what you typically threw at it? Was the body large enough that it didn’t cause an excessive amount of trips to be made to finish the task? Was it the best suited type of body in the first place or have you found that it had a few flaws and could have worked better in certain ways for your particular needs? These are very important question to find the answers to before you make a purchase and we would be very happy to help you answer them. Sometimes it takes another perspective to uncover what aspects you may have been overlooking.
Dump Trucks Built to Perform for You
Dump truck bodies are typically built from two materials, steel or aluminum. There are pros and cons to both of these materials and you’ll have to weigh those in order to see which is right for you. Steel is extremely durable and will take almost anything you throw at it and be ready to do it time and time again. Steel is also very heavy. This means that you might not be able to haul the size of payload required due to weight restrictions. Aluminum shines in that department as it is much lighter but that comes at the cost of durability.
Whichever route you decide to take when selecting your new dump truck body, we can be there for you every step of the way to ensure that you find what will work best for you and your needs.
